The hardest people to figure out in this world are most likely my fellow Kenyans. We are resilient yet impatient , peace-loving (or pretended to be until Dec 2007) very hospitable especially to foreigners with shady pasts so long as the pockets are deep.
Worst of all we are egoists laced with pathetic greed !
I think we are the most unpatriotic people in the world. A people who would sell their country without batting an eyelid. What with the issuing venomous foreigners with our IDs and Passports helping them do their dirty deals on our soil, even helping them grab land ?
We have taken capitalism to a whole new level. Kenya has become a 'me first society' . One just needs to Que in a bank or any public place to see this kind of attitude. Have you been caught up in a traffic jam lately? then you have a better picture of what I'm talking about. why oh! why! wait a minute........... DO we always have to dream about grabbing land,robbery, defrauding,conning,bribing, extorting,forging ,conniving ? Cant we do something straight just for once? Do we always have to honour the evil and look down upon the righteous?
